Ozempic pen cost with and without insurance

NovoCare publishes standard self-pay offers of $349 for 0.25, 0.5 and 1 mg pens and $499 for 2 mg. Your plan may quote a different amount.

Introductory and later fills

NovoCare's Ozempic offer says eligible new patients may pay $199 for up to two monthly fills of 0.25 or 0.5 mg through 31 December 2026. Later fills use the standard offer for the applicable strength. A 12-fill projection using $199 for every month would therefore overstate the offer.

Insurance comparison

Ask your pharmacy for the final covered cost after deductible and coinsurance, and compare it with the program amount for the same pen. A manufacturer commercial copay card has separate eligibility rules and generally excludes government beneficiaries. A self-pay purchase may not count toward your plan deductible.

If your plan quote is $120 and the self-pay quote is $349 for the same fill, the worksheet reports $120 as the lowest entered route and $1,440 across 12 identical fills. This does not predict future deductible changes.
